1._ Introduction

Welcome to Chess Labs LLC ("Company," "we," "us," or "our"). By accessing or using our website, services, coaching programs, digital content, or booking sessions, you agree to these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree, please do not use our services.


2._ Services Provided

Chess Labs LLC provides chess coaching, educational content, training programs, digital materials, and related services ("Services"). Coaching is educational in nature and does not guarantee specific results, including rating increases.


3._ Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old or have permission from a parent or legal guardian to use our Services.


4._ Payments, Billing & Authorization

All prices are listed in U.S. dollars. Payments are processed securely through third-party payment processors, including but not limited to Stripe and Paypal.


By completing a purchase, you:


  • Authorize Chess Labs LLC to charge your selected payment method
  • Acknowledge that access to digital services and coaching may begin immediately
  • Agree that this transaction constitutes a valid electronic purchase


You are responsible for ensuring your payment information is accurate and up to date.


4.1_ Chargebacks and Payment Disputes

Initiating a chargeback or payment dispute without first contacting Chess Labs LLC may result in immediate suspension of services and access to materials.


We reserve the right to provide documentation to payment processors to contest fraudulent or unjustified disputes, including proof of service delivery and agreement acceptance.


5._ Refund Policy & Session Cancellations

Due to the nature of digital services and scheduled coaching time:

  • All sales are final unless explicitly stated in writing prior to purchase
  • Coaching sessions canceled with less than 24 hours' notice may be forfeited
  • No refunds will be issued for unused sessions, missed appointments, or early termination

Exceptions may be made at the sole discretion of Chess Labs LLC.

6._ Coaching Disclaimer

Coaching results vary by individual. Chess Labs LLC makes no guarantees regarding chess ratings, tournament performance, or competitive outcomes.


7._ Intellectual Property

All content, including videos, lessons, PDFs, training materials, branding, and website content, is the exclusive property of Chess Labs LLC.

You may not copy, share, resell, or redistribute any materials without written permission.


8._ User Conduct

You agree not to:

  • Engage in harassment, abuse, or disruptive behavior
  • Attempt to reverse engineer or steal content
  • Share paid materials with non-customers

Violation may result in termination without refund.

9._ Limitation of Liability

Chess Labs LLC shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from use of the Services


10._ Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate access to Services at our discretion


11._ Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Connecticut, United States.

13._ Youth Coaching and Parental Consent

Clients under the age of 18 may participate in coaching services only with the consent of a parent or legal guardian.


By enrolling a minor, the parent or legal guardian:


  • Consents to the minor's participation in online chess coaching
  • Accepts the responsibility for the minor's conduct and participation
  • Acknowledges that coaching is educational and not childcare
